Under the name Hale Mercer, the focus is on supernatural thrillers and Southern Gothic horror: stories shaped by hidden histories, moral ambiguity, and the uneasy boundary between faith and corruption. The M.J. Mercer name explores that same mythology through a darker, more romantic lens. These stories center on power, desire, and consequence—where love can be a weapon, loyalty carries a cost, and ancient bloodlines shape the fate of the living.

Though the tone and genre shift between names, the mythology does not. Both draw from a shared timeline, recurring symbols, and a long-running cosmic struggle that spans centuries and continents.
